Dressage Clinic Sat 20th October 2012
We are holding a dressage clinic on test riding on Saturday 20th October 2012. This is the day before the Rogate and District Riding Club open dressage competition, so we are offering the a training session on how to ride a dressage test to maximise your marks, followed by the chance to run through your test. The aim is for you to leave feeling well prepared and confident for your test the next day!

Tuesday training clinic
The weather was horrendous this Tuesday! We managed to get through a session in the morning, but all decided that it was too wet to do an afternoon session. Karen had just brought a new John Whittaker lunging aid, so we had a lesson on how to put on and fit a Pessoa to a horse instead!
Free RDRC Members Day
We had a free RDRC members day at Rogate e.c yesterday. We had a beautiful sunny day for it and the riders had flatwork, show jumping and xc lessons with either Lynne or Kev Britton. It was great to see the riders in Kev's xc lesson flying over the hedge, on our eventer's challenge course and to watch the horses in Lynne's jumping lesson sail over all the spooky fillers, even Eeyore and the red brick wall! In the evening we made the most of the weather and had a yard BBQ, which was a great way to unwind after a busy day. We were very lucky with the weather as it is pouring with rain today, which is bad news for our clients who were competing at the Pony Club team dressage today, which has unfortunately now been cancelled. We are excited today as we are going to pick up a new horse for Lynne, she has been looking for a new horse to bring on and compete for a while, so can't wait to see how they get on in the next few months.
We are now fully booked for this weeks training Tuesday! However we still have a few spaces available for next Tuesday (3rd Oct). Due to the popularity of training Tuesday's and after having a few people say they would love to come, but can't as they are working, we will be holding a clinic on Friday 5th October, following the same blueprint as Tuesdays; a flatwork session in the morning, followed by a jumping clinic (including xc if required) in the afternoon, £25 for the day. Anyone who would like to put their name down, please contact Lynne Britton.
