About Lynne Britton


At the age of 11 Lynne began helping out at her local Riding for the Disabled group, to the bewilderment of her non-horsey parents, and four years later her destiny was sealed when the RDA gave her a ‘problem’ pony.

Now a busy Mum to two young children, Lynne is married to Sgt Kevin Britton, 47 Regiment (formerly Kings Troop) who manages She trained for her BHS AI in Surrey in the late 1980s, gained her BHS Int Teaching and Stable Management under the direction of Lynne Baldwin, and latterly her NVQ3. She went on to train with Corinne Bracken for show jumping and enjoyed a successful eventing career with her beloved mare ‘Touchwood Tara.’ the Army Equestrian Centre and polo team at Thorney Island Barracks. She describes her biggest challenge to have been the setting up and rebranding of Rogate Equestrian Centre (formerly Sandilands).
